Detailed Description
This xApp leverages the O-RAN standardized LLC service model to monitor physical-layer metrics in real time. It captures uplink SRS measurements, estimated channel information in the frequency domain, and noise characteristics. The collected metrics can be further analyzed to estimate channel quality, enable sensing-based positioning algorithms, and support advanced data-driven decision-making. The xApp can also be extended with AI/ML techniques to enable intelligent control policies for network optimization. Additionally, it can interoperate with other control xApps (e.g., handover) to support coordinated RAN optimization.
